This zoological garden was opened in Cornwall in 1969 and today it is widely recognized as a famous tourist attraction and is well known for providing sustainable tourism to people coming from all over the globe including the best of acommodation options. The Newquay Zoo consists of several specifies of animals including breeding programmes for endangered tapirs, red pandas and other such animals. This zoological garden covers an area of over 13 acres where more than 300 animals are housed. The international breeding program is well supported by the Newquay Zoo for endangered species of animals. Kids would really love this place as they get to see the most amazing animals. Moreover, special teaching inputs and opportunities are provided for students for their education and media courses. The zoo was awarded Sustainable Tourism award and Visitor Attraction of The Year award in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
