A town in the southern part of Somerset in England, Yeovil is a vibrant region with the population toll of nearly 40,000. 130 miles from London and 40 miles from Bristol, this was recorded as the town of Givle in the Domesday Book. Later on the town became the center for the glove manufacturing industry. In the 20th century, it was developed into a center of aircraft and defence industries for which it became the target of bombing in Second World War. Various regeneration plans are being announced in the 21st century. One of the most attractive and open spaces in the town is Yeovil Country Park. Yeovil houses a great range of cultural, educational and sporting facilities. If you are one of the travels staying in any of the Yeovil hotels, there are several attractions including a 14th century Church of St John the Baptist. The town is well equipped with transport facilities for the convenience of the visitors.
