While traveling Dundee, it would not be advisable to miss Camperdown House whther you are staying at any of the Dundee hotels, near or far from this attraction. Located in the grounds of the world famous Camperdown Country Park, in the north-western part of the city of Dundee, the house was built in 1828 for the very first Earl of Camperdown named Robert Duncan on his Lundie Estate. The son to naval hero Admiral Adam Duncan, Roberts’ famous house was designed by William Burn in a neo-classical style. Today the City of Dundee Council owns the house as well as the park. Visiting the majestic attraction in Dundee has become even more exciting since the reopening of the sections in 2003 that include the ground floor rooms which have been refurbished. The rooms also contain exhibits related to the maritime history of the city, Admiral Duncan and the Battle of Camperdown. The visitors are made comfortable with function rooms, cafeteria and a golf club as well.
