In developing the British postal services, this attraction in Bath has played a major role. Earlier this site was of Bath’s main post office and it has been designated by English Heritage as a grade II listed building and later it’s turned into a Postal museum. Biographies of some great figures are housed within the museum including John Palmer’s Ralph Allen’s and many such remarkable figures. Various artefacts are on display including stamp boxes, post horns, strip maps, quills, mail coaches, postcards and letters etc. The museum remains open from Monday to Saturday from 11.00am to 5.00pm. This famous tourist attraction is officially closed on Christmas. If we look at the modern day postal systems, they have their roots in Bath. The museum is located within walking distance from the Bath Spa railway station and is even more closely located to the Roman Baths museum. A vast and electronic range of collections is housed within the museum, thereby making it more attractive.
